Transition Field Guide for Veterans: Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship after Service

What is this about?

One of the most important decisions a servicemember makes after the military is what path to take towards meaningful employment. Our Transition Field Guide for Veterans: Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship after Service explores four of those paths, and identifies the necessary skills and education needed to be successful. Further, this resource is designed for servicemembers to develop post-military plans long before their last day in uniform.

Why is it useful?

As servicemembers transition out of military service, they face many different and difficult decisions. To help ease the transition, we have designed detailed checklists to assist them with the four paths to meaningful civilian employment.  The Transition Field Guide contains checklists for exploring higher education opportunities, obtaining further training or certifications, entering the job market and starting a business.

Who would use it?

The Transition Field Guide is designed specifically for transitioning servicemembers and Veteran job seekers to add structure to the transition process, as well as to ease the burden of uncertainty on the servicemember.
