Veteran Jobs Mission Convenes in Houston
JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Greater Houston Partnership partnered together to host the Veteran Jobs Mission Regional Reception in Houston on March 5. Coalition members, local companies and strategic non-profit partners gathered to discuss the changing landscape in veteran employment and promote career success in the military community.
“JPMorgan Chase & Co. has a long standing commitment to invest in not only our talent but also invest in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Marty Goosen, Vice Chair at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Since 2011 the Veteran Jobs Mission Coalition has grown to include workforce development organizations and regional partners in Houston and across the country to collaborate and convene with member companies at these types of local events. Together, the Coalition is advocating for and sharing best practices, tools and networks to advance career success in the military community.
“As we all look to deepen our commitment to supporting veterans, we at JPMorgan Chase are particularly excited about a number of initiatives that we have going on in Houston. We are lucky to partner with great nonprofit organizations who are also doing this work in their communities,” said Mark Elliott, Head of Military and Veterans Affairs at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
